When a local property management company moved into an old pharmacy, they saw an opportunity to revitalize a well-known building in the heart of Weyers Cave. Rather than settling for a quick-fix patch job, they partnered with us to complete a full roof replacement that would restore both the appearance and integrity of the structure.

The Challenge

The building’s original cedar shake roof had wear and tear that left the aging structure vulnerable and dangerous. As if that wasn't enough, moisture had also compromised sections of wood beneath the surface. The client needed a long-lasting solution that would protect the building while preserving its visual identity in the commercial center of Weyers Cave.

The Solution

We approached this project with a focus on both protection and aesthetics, carefully following architectural plans and drawing on our experience with commercial office buildings.

  • Roof Removal & Structural Prep: Our team began by removing the existing cedar shake material. Any damaged or rotten wood beneath the surface was replaced to ensure a strong foundation for the new roofing system.

  • Synthetic Underlayment & Metal Panel Installation: Once prepped, we applied a high-performance synthetic underlayment to guard against moisture. Then came the upgrade: standing seam metal panels chosen to match the neighboring property, creating a unified and professional appearance across the site. These panels were coated with a KAR finish, backed by our 35-year warranty for long-term performance and curb appeal.

  • Drainage & Exterior Finishes: To complete the roof system, we installed seamless 6-inch aluminum gutters paired with 3x4 downspouts, designed to efficiently redirect water away from the structure. New aluminum soffits and trims were also added, bringing clean lines and modern detailing in line with the architectural vision.

  • Site Cleanup: Once the installation was complete, our team conducted a full site cleanup, ensuring the property was left in excellent condition and ready for its next phase of use.
