Protecting a Massive Manufacturing Facility

At one of the region’s largest automotive parts manufacturing plants, we’re in the middle of a transformation that’s as ambitious as it is essential. This project, a comprehensive roof replacement, is an investment in productivity, efficiency, and peace of mind for everyone working inside the building.
Taking on a Roofing Goliath
With over 217,000 square feet of roofing, this project is all about scale—and even more so attention to detail. Years of exposure had left the old EPDM system saturated and vulnerable to leaks, putting both equipment and operations at risk. For a facility where downtime results in lost productivity, a leak is a challenge that requires immediate attention.
Progress Made Safely and Steadily
Currently, our team is approximately two-thirds of the way through completion. We're hard at work removing saturated roofing, prepping the substrate, and installing new insulation that boosts R-value and energy efficiency. By using innovative low-rise foam adhesive and the Hulk machine, we can ensure a secure, lasting bond for the new roof system. Every unused curb, vent, and penetration our team eliminates means fewer opportunities for future leaks—because in a facility this busy, reliability is mandatory.
Logistics have been a test of their own. With limited access points, the sling to our Goliath is a 400-ton crane that lifts materials and removes oversized rooftop units, proving that no challenge is too big when creative problem solving is involved.

As we reach the final stretch, our eyes move on to the details. We're focused on ensuring that flashing, seams, and curbs all meet our standards for quality and durability. With about a third of a massive roof left to go, we’re committed to delivering a complete system that’s designed to perform for years to come.
