There are hundreds of different roofing materials to choose from, each of them meant to fulfill a specific need. In helping you decide which roofing material will best serve your needs, we only use materials that are of good quality, competitively priced and offer good after-sales support. We remain on the cutting edge of new technology and existing product improvements. The
important factors to remember when choosing a product are fire rating, weight, walkability, durability, warranty, product life-span, maintenance, appearance (variety to choose from and whether it would impact the resale value of your home) and, of course, the cost.
We at Skyline Roofing have the experience and expertise to install the following:
 |
Cedar Shake and Shingle
There has been an increasing trend towards this material recently, perhaps in part because of the new fire retardment treatments and great product warranties of up to 50 years. This lightweight material is both rich and very natural in appearance, and in some cases is essential in maintaining a home's original appearance. Major available brands include CEDAR-PLUS, and MEEKER.

 |
Fiber Cement
This is very popular choice because of their attractive "textured shake" appearance. No plywood decking is necessary with this material, and it typically offers the heightened protection of both a "Class A"fire rating and a 50-year warranty. Major available brands include SHAKE LOOK-ALIKE, FIRE-FREE and HARDI SHAKE.

Fiberglass Shingle
Laminated fiberglass shingles, also known as asphalt shingles, are the most popular choice in residential roofing materials. They offer tremendous value and durability in a lightweight, imminently practical design. This material is available in a variety of colors/blends and textures and offers a "Class A" fire rating. Warranties range from 20 to 40 years. Major available brands include GAF, TAMKO, ELK, and G.S.

Lightweight Tile (Clay and Concrete)
This material offers a wide variety of profiles, weights, textures and blends to choose from. Installed over a solid deck (Plywood or
other), lightweight tile offers "Class A" fire rating and a 50 year warranty. Major available brands include MONIER, PIONEER, EAGLELITE, U.S. TILE, CLAYLITE, and CLAYMAX.

 |
Low Pitch/ Flat Roofing This is primarily for commercial properties, but also applicable in some residential situations. Products
include modified bitumen which is a tough leather-like roll of material fused together by heat to become one continuous membrane (one or more layers). Other alternatives include All-Deck - a fiberglass reinforced, waterproof textured coating system designed for walking surfaces. This type of roof is ideal for replacing an old "Tar and Gravel" or "Built Up" roof. Major available brands include U.S. INTECH, and G.S.

Standing Seam Metal
This is an extremely practical and durable roof. The roof panels come in different profiles, colors and types of metal including copper, galvanized metal alloys, and aluminium. Clean lines make this a popular choice with architects and designers. This
product can be installed on fairly low pitch roofs, and with its concealed fasteners it offers the extra value of a permanent, maintenance-free roof. Major available brands include CUSTOM
BILT METALS, MBCI, ATAS, CARLISLE, and UNA-CLAD.

 |
Steel Tile
Designed to look like tile or shake, this product is formed from
galvanized metal which is then covered with several coatings including a ceramic stone top-coating. It is light weight, durable, non-combustable and usually carries a 50-year warranty. Major available brands include TYPHOON TILE, TYPHOON SHAKE, ALPHA TILE, and ALPHA SHAKE.
